Teesside based Elring Klinger GB Ltd have chosen Amacus and Gateshead College as training partners to support their ongoing business strategy of up-skilling their workforce to support excellence in innovation and operational efficiency.

Focusing on productivity and increasing the capability of their production staff, supervisors and managers, Elring Klinger recognise by introducing a company-wide training programme, they are investing in their staff and driving up team morale, and have committed to the next two years to achieve this ambition.

The company are experts in the design and manufacture of speciality gaskets and produce sealing solutions for engine, transmission and exhaust application and have unique opportunities to further develop their business operations at their Redcar factory.

As an organisation they are committed to equipping their staff with the skills and knowledge required to support the needs of the business. Ian Malcom, Managing Director said ‘We are pleased to be working with Amacus and Gateshead College – they have created a flexible and tailored training programme that meets our needs and embeds the values and competencies we require as an organisation’

Christine Hall, MD at Amacus said ‘We are absolutely delighted to be working with Ian and the team and are looking forward to helping over 150 employees over the next two years in roles such as Managers, Supervisors, Senior Operatives and Operatives improve their performance in the work place’.

This bespoke training programme commenced in November 2015 and is supporting the development of skill levels including Leadership and Management, Performing Manufacturing Operations, Business Improvement Techniques, Supply Chain Operations and Performing Engineering Operations.
